Sellers Meet Buyers

Asean Tourism Forum (ATF) 2011 was held in Diamond island, the biggest convention hall in Cambodia, and Travel Expo (TRAVEX) as a part of this event supported by 450 booths in actual (some of them were cancelled by last minutes) with the range business of travel agencies, tour operators, hotels, marketing/tourism associations, Ministry of Tourism each member of ASEAN, etc. Buyer’s amount in total were 388 companies while the sellers were 429 based on buyers – sellers list. Next coming ATF 2012 would be in Manado – Indonesia in January 2012.

We have 2 booths during the event, one is our own booth at #71 and the other one is join with Ministry of Tourism of Republic of Indonesia at #49. The booth set up was excellent as commented by some hoteliers like Paul Blake (Maya Ubud), Tjipto (Padma), James Sullivan (Karma), Ray Clark (Samaya), Anton (Rani), Suthon (Orbitz), Virginia (Booking.com) , Umberto (PACTO) also from others else. They said that we display ‘the taste experience” not only sell the room. Agreed with them, to upgrading our quality we have to promote the taste not only the product itself which is the others also has the same thing or even better sometimes, particularly for B2B event. Total sellers is 429 companies ( 69 Indonesian delegates including 53 from Bali)

Business matter
Asean Tourism Forum 2011 a very potential event especially for maintaining relationship also to build new business with many new accounts which come there. For Rama Hotels & Resorts Bali, it is not only new business but ‘to rebuild’ working relationship also with some old partners.
Many wholesalers and retail agents don’t know or selling Bali as a destination yet, as usual mostly buyers come from Europe, including Russia, Poland and beyond. Some media and travel writers also were invited to stay with us, and we wait for their final confirmation. Most of travel companies are happy dealing with us since we present them a wide range of products in major destination of Bali in one hotel operator.

The current form of the game originated in 1907 in La Ciotat, in Provence, in southern France. The English and French name petanque comes from la petanca  in the Provençal dialect of the Occitan language, deriving from the expression pes tancats meaning “feet together” or more exactly “feet anchored”.

The casual form of the game of petanque is played by about 17 million people in France, mostly during their summer vacations. There are about 375,000 players licensed with the Federation Francaise de Petanque et Jeu Provencal (FFPJP) and some 3,000 in England. Another 20,000 or so play in Quebec. Additionally, petanque clubs have arisen in cities throughout the United States in recent years.
